Hi Jess, tell us a little bit about yourself…

I’m from Brisbane, I'm 29 years old, I’m a mum and I run two businesses. I’m very social and enjoy spending time with my family and friends on the weekends. I also love training!

Tell us about your current health & fitness journey...

My fitness journey restarted around 2 years ago after I had my second child. Before having kids, I was working out regularly and was very interested in nutrition. I gained quite a lot of weight after having two children and decided it was time to get me back! I've spent the last two years dedicating myself to my training. I've lost 14kg & around 8% body fat and gained about 2kg of lean muscle. My current goals are based around weight training & muscle growth.

Were there any changes you struggled with at first or are still struggling with?

I really struggled with dieting for a long time. It's extremely difficult to have discipline when it comes to what you eat, but it’s essential for reaching your goals! The more I immersed myself in the fitness world though the easier it became!

How did you first come across Youfoodz & what did you think?

Someone I knew actually suggested I try Youfoodz! I had tried quite a few other companies and nothing compared, honestly! Almost every meal I tried was delicious, I just think the meals are great and I love that it's so easy to track your macros with them!

How do you incorporate Youfoodz into your week?

I'm actually about to start a 4 week mini cut and will be using Youfoodz for my dinners every night!

What's your favourite Youfoodz item and why?

Hands down Nonna's Spaghetti Bolognese is my favourite & you know what, pasta is one of my least favourite things to eat! But I absolutely love this one!

What keeps you motivated?

After coming so far on my journey and now seeing the changes in my body with my weight training I just couldn't ever imagine my life without the gym! It's become part of my everyday routine and now I crave it!

What do you want to achieve next?

My next goal is to complete my personal training course and sports nutrition, so I can continue to share my knowledge and experience with others!

Do you have any advice for someone who may want to start a health & fitness journey?

My advice is always this: mind set, knowledge & consistency! You have to change the way you think about exercise and food. You have to want the change badly enough.

Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to your training and diet. A lot of my knowledge was self taught and teaming up with other industry professionals and getting a coach has given me so much perspective and allowed me to grow and learn so much more!

The big one is consistency. This is the key to success! Changing your lifestyle and being consistent with it is what will get you the results you want!
